The final collection by Hedi for Dior, the universally beloved "Navigate"—and this jacket is a true phantom within it: it never appeared on the runway or in the campaign, yet it surfaced in Karl Lagerfeld’s private collection, which was recently liquidated by Sébastien Jondeau. On another similar specimen that I previously encountered on the market, the style code differs from this one, leading me to venture that what we have here is something akin to a sample released in an extremely limited print run.
The bomber jacket is crafted from a premium wool-and-cashmere blend, entirely embellished with sequins arranged in a wide stripe pattern—the direction of the sequins can be flipped by hand, allowing you to manipulate your own texture over the existing pattern (as shown in the second photo and the attachment below). The interior plackets are also partially lined with matching sequins, ensuring the jacket retains its striking visual impact even when worn unbuttoned. It is engineered with two interior pockets, two buttoned side pockets, and features a heavy-duty, dual metal Lampo zipper down the center.
This is a high-statement piece built for an unforgettable entrance, and it would perform flawlessly on stage. The only other active alternative available globally is a size XS priced at €4,000.
